WORKSHOPS > SãO PAULO, BRAZIL São Paulo, Brazil 2 Day Intensive Workshop in Klein Technique™ Taught in person by Susan Klein and Cacá Nadai Consecutive translation into Portuguese will be provided by Cacá Nadai. DATES: Saturday–Sunday, November 15–16, 2025
TIME: 10:00am – 1:00pm and 3:00pm – 6:00pm
LOCATION: Casa Farofa, Rua Treze de Maio, 240 – Bela Vista, São Paulo, SP
This workshop will emphasize a pivotal principle of Klein Technique™, the concept of moving from our deepest structural and energetic tissue, the bone. Through an interweaving of theory and practice we will work on the muscles of deep postural support: the psoas, the hamstrings, the pelvic floor muscles, and the external rotators. We will work with a body-felt understanding of how these muscles bring the bones into alignment, a place of connectedness, which leads to true power and efficiency of movement. Klein Technique™ is a process-oriented practice of great value to people of all proficiency levels, dancers and non-dancers alike. Our goal is to teach movement from the individual perspective of internal knowing and understanding. Students of all levels of practice in Klein Technique™ will gain insight into their movement patterns and habits and gain a greater internal understanding of their
bodies.
Susan Klein has been developing and teaching Klein Technique™ since 1972 in daily classes in New York City at her studio, The Susan Klein School of Movement and Dance. Since 1989 she has been traveling internationally teaching intensive workshops in Klein Technique™. The technique developed out of Susan’s personal journey to heal after a serious injury at nineteen, and it serves as a way for people to work through their individual injuries, to understand and improve the functioning of their bodies, to heal themselves, and to become better movers. Her primary influences include Barbara Vedder, D.C., Irmgard Bartenieff, Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen, Dr. Fritz Smith, and Professor J. R. Worsley. Susan maintains a private practice as a Movement Therapist, Certified Zero Balancer, Senior Zero Balancing Teacher, and Traditional Five Element Worsley Style Acupuncturist, L.Ac., B.Ac. (UK), M.Ac. (USA), Dipl. Ac. (NCCAOM). Cacá Nadai is a Brazilian dance artist, researcher, and body therapist. She holds a Doctorate in Arts (USP), a Master’s degree in Dance (UFBA), and a Bachelor’s and Licentiate degree in Dance (FAP/UNESPAR). Cacá is a Certified Teacher of Klein Technique™ since 2023 and co-translated the book Klein Technique™: Thoughts and Inspirations into Portuguese in 2022. She teaches Klein Technique™, Motor Coordination Method (Piret & Béziers) and works as a performer, collaborator, and educator in both artistic and academic contexts. FEE Early bird 1.200 BRL
